Historical stations of our guesthouse
At the end of the 1920s, Bruno & Adelheid Páris bought the property in what was then Saarlandstraße. In October 1930 they were able to move into the residential building planned in 1929 by the architect Wilhelm Facilides.
In the spring of 1945, the Páris House became a retreat for officers of the American occupation forces, and in August 1945, officers of the Red Army moved into the house and used it as a commandant's office.
From 1950, the premises were used as offices of the VVB Lederwaren. From 1955, the maternity clinic "Adelheitsruh" moved into the building. The dining room on the first floor was formerly the delivery room of this clinic.
The head physician of the Clinic for Internal Medicine at the Halle-Dölau District Hospital, Dr. Hans-Walter Crodel, opened a clinic for psychotherapy here in 1978. This clinic continued until 1990.
During the period of vacancy from 1990 to 1996, the unprotected Bauhaus monument increasingly fell into disrepair from year to year. After many negotiations between the Halle Office for Economic Development and the Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank, it was purchased by the Gisela and Dr. Jürgen Metzner family on December 19, 1996.
Between 1997-1999, the complete renovation and restoration of the building took place by the architectural office Brambach from Halle (Saale). From the year 2000 until 2018 it was then the headquarters of GALMED GmbH, Clinic for Human Pharmacology.
Between 2014 and 2021 our house was called 'Pension am Klinikum - Haus Paris' and from 2021 we call ourselves "Gästehaus am Klinikum".
